Suspicious Person Call Leads To Arrest In Princeton

A suspicious person complaint led to the arrest of a man on domestic battery charges in Princeton.

On January 26, officers with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call on Old Pisgah Road regarding a suspicious person, according to a criminal complaint filed in the Magistrate Court of Mercer County.

Upon arrival, officers found a victim who claimed she had been attacked by Christopher Michael Shelton.

Officers took a statement in which the victim stated that Shelton had pulled her out of a vehicle, cussed her and smashed her phone, the complaint states.

Warrants were issued for one charge of misdemeanor domestic battery and one charge of misdemeanor destruction of property.
