On April 21, an officer with the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department responded to a house on Raleigh Ridge Road regarding a domestic complaint.
Upon arrival, the officer found Jessica Marie Bailey, 38, who stated she had been involved in a verbal altercation, according to the criminal complaint filed in Raleigh County Magistrate Court.
While investigating the domestic incident, the officer noticed Bailey trying to conceal a glass vial, the complaint alleges.
Bailey was restrained and the officer found 0.5 grams of heroin, 0.5 grams of methamphetamine, 12 grams of marijuana and a plastic bag containing a small amount of THC wax. The substances were identified by Bailey, according to the complaint.
The officer also discovered that Bailey had a previous arrest warrant after she was identified on January 20 as the person who entered Rising Stars Childcare on Harper Road and took a garden hoe.
Bailey has been charged with petit larceny and three counts of possession of a controlled substance. She was released following arraignment.
